Grace-Filled Reconciliation

Genesis 33:1-20

Opening Thoughts:

I. Jacob: The  of grace (vs. 1-4, 13-17)

II. Esau: The  of grace (vs. 4-9,12,15-16)

III. God:  The  of grace (vs. 5, 10-11, 18-20)

 Points to Ponder

1. Consider how Jacob bows 7 times before Esau as he approaches. Is there a growth in humility in your life that is observable by others?
2. Consider how Jacob still gives Esau much of his wealth even after his brother says he does not need it. How willing are you to give away the blessings you have received from God?
3. Consider how Jacob no longer calls God the God of Abraham, or the fear of Isaac, but his own God, the God of Israel. Do you have a personal relationship with God?   Do you see Him as your God?
